The Adventure Place website contains information from us, you, and other users. You agree not to copy, modify, or distribute, our copyrights or trademarks. What Information Do We Collect?

Canadian privacy legislation defines “Personal Information” broadly as information about an identifiable individual or as information that allows an individual to be identified. For the purposes of this policy, Personal Information means information about an identifiable individual as defined from time to time in applicable privacy legislation. Generally speaking Personal Information does not include what is considered business contact information: your name, title or position, business address, telephone number, facsimile number or e-mail address.

When you donate with our site you will be asked to provide an email address, your first and last name, your phone number, and address. With your permission, we will publish your name in our annual report and post it on our website as part of the list of donors. This information will also be used to send you a donation receipt.


Optionally you may also choose to opt into our newsletter. We use your email address to send information related to news and updates about Adventure Place.

Browsing the Site

When you visit our web site, we collect information about your visit (e.g. session length, pages visited, network location) based on the IP address of your computer, or your unique user identifier (if you are a registered user). Our web site uses cookies and access logs to facilitate this tracking. This information is used to analyze how people use our web site. It is also used to save your favorites or saved listings.

Third Party Websites

In the case of third party web sites like Facebook, and Twitter – we do not collect any information and simply forward you to their web sites. Please review their privacy policies.

How Do We Collect Your Personal Information?

Adventure Place utilizes a number of internal and third party methods to recognize visitor data such as IP addresses and browser settings.

Ending your relationship with Adventure Place

You agree that the Terms will continue to apply until terminated by you by notifying Adventure Place, or by closing your accounts where we made the option available to you. Notice should be sent to us in writing at We may terminate our relationship with you if you breached, or unable to comply with the Terms, required to do so by law, or we are no longer providing the service.

Automatic Collection

Adventure Place’s internal servers and software automatically records data when you visit the website. No personal information is revealed in this process. Adventure Place may use such data to compile traffic data about the kind and types of visitors that use the website at specific intervals.


From time to time, Adventure Place may use the standard Cookie feature of major browser applications and third party providers as well as employ internally developed cookies and tracking code which allows Adventure Place to store a small piece of data on a visitor’s computer about the visit to the Adventure Place website. Personal information is not captured in such cookies, nor does Adventure Place use cookies to mine Personal information. To Whom Do We Disclose Your Personal Information?

Payment for donors is through PayPal. To help protect the confidentiality of your Personal Information, Adventure Place employs administrative and technological safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of your Personal Information. Where Personal Information is sent to a third party for processing we ensure, through our contacts with them that all Personal Information is kept secure. We operate secure data networks protected by industry standard firewall and password protection systems.

Adventure Place has security measures in place to prevent the loss, misuse, destruction and alteration of the information that you provide us or we obtain from you. We will have no liability however to you or to any third party arising out of any such loss, misuse, destruction, or alteration.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

Adventure Place reserves the right to modify or supplement this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make a change to this Privacy Policy, we will post such changes on our website and make such revised policy and changes available upon request to the Adventure Place Privacy Officer.
